On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 24th Congress of the European Anthropological Association, which will take place in the vibrant city of Budapest, Hungary between 25-28 August, 2026.
We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the European Anthropological Association, a very important milestone that reflects our shared commitment to advancing anthropological knowledge, fostering collaborations and inspiring new horizons for the future.
The EAA 2026 congress titled ‘Science, Technology and Society – Fusions of Horizons in Anthropology‘ promises to be an inspiring event that brings together academics, researchers, young fellows, postdocs, graduate students and industry professionals not only from Europe, but hopefully also from around the world to explore the potential of interdisciplinary research in biological anthropology. In partnership with the European Anthropological Association, the organizers especially welcome the participation of postgraduate research students and early career scholars in the EAA 2026 Congress.
Our aim is to provide an exceptional platform for the participants to network, share their latest research results, and foster collaborations that will drive the field of biological anthropology forward. The congress covers the following main topics:
